The Simple Truth About the End Times

You can smell it in the air, you can feel it in your soul, you can see the evidence everywhere that you look.  With each tree bursting to life and with the birth of every newborn flower we see the evidence of the season that we live in.  Summer is coming and we can sense a time of freedom and amusement that is usually accompanied by this time of the year.  Think back to a time in your childhood in which you would anxiously await your summer vacation.  Visions of sleeping late, playing all day, and spending the hot afternoons swimming in the refreshing water always made it difficult for me to concentrate on the tasks at hand.  The feeling of anticipation is similar for me today about the second coming of my savior Jesus Christ.

Jesus said in Mark 13:28 that we can know the season that He is coming back to gather His church to Him by the events that we see taking place.  Just like the trees and the flowers, when we turn on the news we see the season approaching, when we listen to the sermons we hear the confirmation, and when we become sensitive to the Holy Spirit we know that the second coming is at hand.

We as Christians should be immensely excited about the time that we live in.  No time in history, besides Christ first coming, has there been a more anticipated time then now.  It is easy to be distraught over the grim outcome of the world today, but as I heard a pastor once say, “If we get discouraged all that we need to do is look at the end of the Bible; we win”.  How true that statement is.  If we can keep our eyes on Jesus instead of focusing on the storms around us, then we can prevent sinking into temptation during these uncertain times.

As my first installment in my blog, I want to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to view my writings.  I pray that my entries will help fuel your passion for the end times and educate you into the truths found in the Bible.  My aspiration is to present a straightforward and simple to understand explanation of end time prophecies.  We will explore the many theories that are so prevalent today and take a closer look at current events that help us to determine the season that we live in.  My only errand for you as you read my blog is to wipe away all of your preconceived ideas about the end times and let us open our minds to the Holy Spirit who holds all truths.  May God richly bless you.
